Welcome to our story. First, we would like to say thanks for visiting our blog! We hope you enjoy reading our traveling tails and learning more about how our favorite wagging tail inspired us to create some of the finest dog collars in the world. It began with two humans (that would be me and my wife, Kelsey) and our Golden Retriever, Jack. Together, we’re like the “Three Musketeers.”

As an avid surfer and ocean lover, traveling the globe to ride some of the best waves opened my eyes to discovering just how big and amazing our world is. About 10 years ago I got bit by the travel bug and found that embarking on new adventures, learning about different cultures, and seeing the immense beauty that is our planet, became my true passion. Luckily, I found someone that loves the adventure just as much as I do! They say that your home is where your heart is…but for Kelsey and I, this journey together is our home.

Getting back on track, this story would not be complete without shifting focus to the third and most important Musketeer. He’s my #1 sidekick, best bud, the Robin to my Batman…he’s our Golden Retriever, Jack. He came into my life 8 years ago. He was this furry little body connected to an overly large, bobbling head. His constant grin and enthusiasm for life melted my heart and an unbreakable bond was immediately born.
I grew up with dogs. I have loved them since the Fisher Price Cozy Tikes Coupe was my “go to” form of transportation. Dogs teach us so much about relationships, responsibilities, family and love. Little did I know, having Jack would not only teach me, but change my world. After all, if it wasn’t for him I might not have married my awesome wife and started a business designing and selling a product that I am so proud of! Jack is our inspiration and reason behind The Golden Dog Company.

Traveling Tales
We are constantly on the go. Hustling and bustling through this busy life of ours. We often lose sight of the beauty around us. The world is so much bigger than we are and there is so much to see and explore. We like to say our life began when our travels began. While on a surf trip to the Balinese coast, Kelsey and I became enamored with the calmness of the culture, the island, and the detailed craftsmanship found in Balinese art. There is so much skill that goes into creating such unique designs the talented artisans produce. We have noticed that in a world of mass production, the quality is often lost. Wouldn’t it be great to bring some of that back? Our creative juices began flowing. It was on that trip that we became inspired to create something special for our own furry best friend. Merging our passion for worldly travels and culture with our love for Jack and animals alike, The Golden Dog Company was founded…a company that specializes in individually handcrafting each product to perfection.

Dogs are a big part of family and, as dog lovers, we are always looking for ways to show them a little extra love – that means giving them a special treat, a walk in the park or just hanging around the house together.
